It's one of those day when strangers and front like folks are testy towards you for no particular reason, even when you flashed a smile and a hello.

The Greenhouse
Life has been a challenge lately. It's one of those challenges where you don't know where you will be, how you will live, and what the future will hold. To clear my mind and to be mentally focused I went to the greenhouse. Color, it's said to offer a ray of hope and joy to those who seems to feel that there is hopelessness.

Monday's Inspiration
A lot of us struggled on Mondays, whether getting up early to work after a fun-filled weekend or starting on that dreaded work project. A little inspiration, be it the color of a bloom or a smile and help from a stranger, help make the start of a new week go smoother.

Welcome Summer Solstice
It's the 1st day of summer and was it a hot day today; blue skies and birds whistling, bright flowers and the golfers out in full force hitting the balls on the greens. It's also the beginning of summer events, and summer events mean outdoor eats and ice creams. I've started the day with not so healthy eats - a hot dog burger, fries and iced coffee which I will have to walk off later in the evening.

Heaven in Blue
How I wish for blue skies and hearing the buzzing of bees doing their best to bring us lovely blooms? Gray clouds with signs of rain is predicted. Hopefully, my dream of bright skies will surface soon. For now, these images will brighten not only my day but yours too.

Farmer's market
The gray, wet weather god must be playing one of its jokes on me. I got up early just to go to a farmer's market; found after numerous browsing online for the nearest and close to farmlands. I was expecting hundreds of vendors similar to the markets in Kitchener and Waterloo and planning to stock up on different cheeses, fruits and baked goods. I was disappointed to find a handful of not so much variety in produces and ended up empty handed. Maybe towards the warmer summer weeks ahead, things might be different.

Inspiring colors
I still can't get enough of the spring blooms and the colors make me happy, so let's feast on the images below.
It's a heatwave
It feels like summer, so why not indulge in a bit of summer fun; a healthy, tall fruity drink, an outdoor fountain shower or head to the farmer's market for juicy summer produces.

The Gathering
"The gathering" is an annual event for First Nations natives in North America to meet, socialize, dance, sing and honor their aboriginal culture. Usually, the biggest gatherings can be found near native settlements or nearby major big cities. On a chilly, windy and sunny spring day, I decided to attend a smaller pow wow at a campground off a country road. The gathering started off with a ceremonial prayer after a parade of flag bearers to officiate the event. It was more than the beatings of drums or the vibrant colors brought on by the costumes clad tribes. There is much to learn about the culture of these proud people and also to realize the struggles they encountered in their settlements. I tried to record all that I saw with my camera but half way through the event, the battery decided to give up on me. So let the few images transport you to the pow wow.

Pausing in reflection
When life throws you a curve ball, keep in mind that you are not alone. Someone else out there is going through the same thing. One may never know if decisions made are the best at that time. At worst, decisions taken become recurring mistakes made over and over again. Upon reflecting back, one has the feeling that all is doomed and things cannot be altered. What prompted these not so bright feelings? It could be the really wet, dark Spring weather where for 3 straight days, the sun struggled to peek through the clouds. Here's an image to at least brighten up a dark, gloomy day.
