Extraordinary Eats

The adventure begins with an alluring aroma of smoke and spices, or the glimpse of unfamiliar delicacies arranged on a vendor's stall.

Kueh Bangkit (Malaysia) - waffle like snack with black sesame seeds

Glutinous rice with bits of meat, pandan leaves for taste and garnishing and steamed in pitcher plant leaves (Sarawak, Borneo) 

Fried fritters with palm sugar

Curry puffs, prawn fritters, black beans fritters and apam balek (Sarawak, Borneo)

Pan-fried flour pastry and eaten with curry sauce (Indian, Singapore)..And then, there's the odd street snacks..yikeesss

Spiders and Cockroaches (Cambodia)

Wriggling sago worms (Sarawak, Borneo)
