Sometimes when you travel, you never know what to expect. Taking a chance on stopping at a town, that just happened to be on the way but may be a tiny spot on the map, may bring a bigger surprise and lasting impression on a traveler. For example, the city of Arezzo. Located in central Italy in the Tuscany region, Arezzo was one of the twelve important Etruscan city in ancient times. After visiting the usual monuments, churches, and piazzas, strolling the charming old city center along the small alleys and enjoy the quiet streets and popping into the fine shops is pleasant. Streets vendors that throng the streets alleys are plentiful selling antiques and home-made crafts. A word of warning though: Arezzo is set atop a steep incline, and pretty much you are walking uphill everywhere.
