The central Italian city of Ravenna, is known for its superb Byzantine mosaics. A world heritage site recognized by UNESCO, the cultural heritages include San Vitale, Galla Placidia, Museo Arcivescovile, Batistero Neoiano, and Apollinare Nuovo, monumental treasures that dated back to the 5th century.
