Sunday "feast"

I called Dad and was told that today was the celebration of the end of the moon cake/lantern festival that heralds the start of Fall. After feasting on moon cakes and other dishes, he took the grand-kids to lit lanterns and carry them part way around the village before letting them off into the skies. I decided to have my "little mooncake" observation with a tiny red bean paste moon cake and mousse cakes with tea. For lunch, I prepared a thai chicken soup with steamed savoy cabbage.

  1. Oh I have been feasting on those mooncakes...there were more varieties over here in Penang. Too bad they're SO high in calories!
