Choices of air travel to Kuching, Sarawak

For years there have been constant complaints from Sarawakians and Sabahans having very little choice for alternative cheaper flight deals from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur.

Unless you booked your flight tickets very, very early in the year, you are sure to pay regular price for just an hour and forty-five minutes flight from Kuching to Kuala Lumpur. And worst if you have no choice but to pay premium price fare for an emergency, last minute meeting in the capital city.

Malaysia Airlines offer good service but you pay premium price for air fares.  Air Asia, while at first glance is a cheaper airline after clicking to make your purchase, ends up with not much saving either with the add-ons, extras and taxes.

A new low-cost carrier entering the Sarawak region offering residents in Sarawak and Sabah a choice this year is Malindo air, operating the Kuching-Kuala Lumpur route and Kota Kinabalu-Kuala Lumpur route.

Other choices for Sarawak and Sabah residents are Silk Air and Tiger Air flying the Kuching-Singapore route.
